Carolyn Caywood, a member of the REV UP Virginia coalition, the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities, and the League of Women Voters, has written a powerful article which was published in The Virginian-Pilot on August 31, 2024.
Caywood writes, “At the core of every American movement toward equality of civil rights is access to the ballot… all voters benefit from more accessible polling places, more widespread use of mailed ballots and more days of early voting…”
