Hundreds of Virginians with developmental disabilities, their families, caregivers, and allies will gather to advocate for our shared legislative priorities. Join The Arc of Virginia and rally partners REV UP Virginia, Autism Society Virginia affiliates, Virginia Down Syndrome Association, Virginia Board for People with Disabilities, disAbility Law Center of Virginia (dLCV), SEIU Virginia 512, the ALLY Alliance, and Decriminalize Developmental Disabilities.
This rally is about showing the size and strength of Virginia’s disability community. When hundreds of people gather at the Bell Tower, it sends a clear message that these decisions affect real people across the Commonwealth.
Some things to expect:
- Wear an orange scarf or shirt
- Carry a poster sign — NO sticks or anything affixed to it
- Chants and messages shared that day
- No bells, whistles or weapons
- Accessible vehicles and buses can drop off on N. 9th Street at the Bell Tower
Paid parking for Capitol Square visitors is available in the N. 9th and Franklin Street parking deck. Parking rates are $5/hour or $20/day.
